Yo-He-Wah Nation - Indian Princess

Have Fun Together and Be Friends Always

The Zuni & Chippewa Treasure /Geo Caching Hunt is open during the entire month of May 2010

This is our 2nd Annual Treasure / Geo Caching hunt. We’ve planted some clues for you to follow, which will lead you to a final treasure trove.

Before you start, you need a few guidelines:

1.     This is a secret Yo-He-Wah nation hunt. Be discrete. Don’t let anyone see you finding the clues or treasure.

2.     With that in mind, always return the clue boxes to a state that is hidden and protected. Hopefully that means you’ll return it like you found it.

3.     You’ll need a few things for the hunt. You should definitely know the Indian Princess slogan. A compass and GPS may be helpful but is not necessary.

4.     You will probably want to bring a small bag to pick up any trash you see on the trail. If everyone picks up one piece, the park will be spotless…            (Remember; don’t pick up any dangerous trash like broken glass or other sharp objects).

We hope you have fun. If you run in to any problems, or want to notify us of any caches needing maintenance, please email me at cgruenewald@gmail.com

Good luck and happy hunting!

Your journey begins at Bob Jones Park near the softball fields.

1.    Go north on White Chapel Road from 114 and turn into the parking lots just past the softball diamonds, a little over 2 miles from 114.

2.    Your first task is to find the old homestead of Simon Salinas. It’s up the path not too far from the lot.

3.    From here, roads head in 3 different directions. You can pick the correct road by knowing the Indian Princess slogan. The 4th letter of the 1st word tells you which way to go.

4.    As the road heads to the left, it crosses a grey rock road. Head toward the right.

5.    Shortly you will enter a beautiful meadow that holds an ancient Indian story telling place. The mown grass path beckons to you at the top of the steps.

6.    You will reach an iron barrier. Follow it to the left into the undergrowth. Be careful of some of the sharp debris left by others less careful than you.

7.    Will you be “stumped” by the very first clue? You may want to take a “3 pronged” attack and “dig in” to this problem.

8.    GPS coordinates are: N 32° 59.404 W 097° 09.173

Also we will help you on the first Cache to get you started GPS coordinates are: N 32° 59.425 W 097° 09.014
