Dream Catcher and Native American Craft Festival
When: February 13th from 9 AM to 2:00 PM
The dream catcher event is scheduled for February 13th at St. Vincent ’s school from 9:00 until 2:00. To give the girls plenty of time to work on these the order for Dream Catchers will be placed by Mid-January. Let your chief know as soon as possible how many princesses will be attending and the number of dream catchers your tribe requires. The 5” standard dream catcher with feathers will run roughly $5.00 each. When replying with your numbers give me a physical address to ship to.
Location – St. Vincent’s School in Bedford at the corner of Forest Ridge Dr and Schumac Dr. We will be using the gym in the middle school. Parking is available on the South side of the school off Schumac Dr. and on the North side off Forest Ridge Dr. The gates to the “carpool” lane between the lower and middle school will be open, but not available for parking. See attached map.
Event Format We will have two categories- Dream Catchers and Other Indian Crafts We will have four groups by grade PK-K-1, 2, 3, 4-Red Feather We will award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes in each group for each category
Entertainment- Bounce houses will be set up on the field
Table Games- Any tribe that brings a table game will get honor tribe points. We will provide the give aways
Face Painting- If any Red Feather would like to volunteer to help out with this, it would be appreciated
Food- Cree Cuisine- Dogs/chips/drinks provided starting 11:30 AM
Headcount due from Tribe Chiefs (include total headcount, Princesses and Braves) to plan accordingly for the food.
